seasoned retail executive with
expertise in business process
background includes store and multi-unit managerial
experience, before moving to corporate administrative
position supporting retail operational processes and
technology solutions.
Experience
During his distinguish career in retail, Jan has led a
number of industry leading operational and
technology initiatives, including introducing a grocery
industry-first customer loyalty program, funded by
CPG companies. The program featured an industry-
first e-coupon using consumer purchasing and
demographic data to fund the program. Recently, he
has led the business change in Fresh Item
Management, working with clients to more effectively
manage and grow their fresh category operations.
His expertise has been recognized throughout the
retail industry, where he has been instrumental in
promoting improved food safety and product
traceability.
Jan’s clients include such major retailers as H-E-B,
United Supermarkets, SUPERVALU, Tandy-Radio
Shack, Shoe Carnival, Brookshire Grocery Company,
Harris Teeter, Sprouts Farmers Markets, Stater Bros.,
and Raley Supermarkets.
In addition to his considerable FIM credentials, Jan
has extensive experience in designing and
implementing POS initiatives across all retail industry
verticals, using data analytics to developed an
industry-first POS loss prevention and cashier
scheduling system. He also designed, developed and
delivered a first web-based self-instruction, POS
terminal scanning training program.
